"The Order of the Phönix" war stellenweise etwas zäh zu lesen und ich weiß von einigen, dass die Potter-Euphorie in dem 5. Band endete, doch zu unrecht, denn wer sich durch den 5. Band durchgekämpft hat, wurde bereits dort belohnt mit einem spannenden Finale.
Der 6.Band über den "Half Blood Prince" wurde am schnellsten von allen verschlungen von mir.
Allerdings merkt man deutlich, dass die Kindertage tatsächlich vorbei sind im Leben Harry Potter's!
So ist das Ende alles andere als das, was man sich romantischerweise mal vorgestellt hat, als man mit "The Philosopher's Stone" begonnen hat.
Der Werdegang von Dumbledore, unter dessen Fittichen nie etwas allzu schlimmes geschehen konnte, das Verhältnis von Ron und Hermionie und auch die schillernde Persönlichkeit von Severus Snape sorgen für Spannung und viele Überraschungen!

Unser Sonderkorrespondent für die magische Welt (dessen Namen wir hier aus begreiflichen Gründen nicht preisgeben können) hat dieser Tage eine sensationelle Entdeckung gemacht. Joanne K. Rowling, Autorin von bisher sieben Harry Potter Bänden, ist eine verkappte Anhängerin der Aufklärung. Bekanntlich lehrt die Aufklärung, sich seines eigenen Verstandes zu bedienen, ohne Anleitung eines anderen. (So die Definition eines ihrer berühmtesten Vertreter, nämlich Immanuel Kant.) Oder anders gesagt: Der Satz: "Es gibt Dinge zwischen Himmel und Erde, die unser Verstand nicht ergründen kann", ist für einen Anhänger der Aufklärung ein rotes Tuch, das er unbedingt zerreißen muss.
Aber beruht Magie nicht gerade auf dieser Annahme? Wäre es anders, so könnte jeder Muggel (d. i. Bewohner der nicht magischen Welt) zumindest die Anfangsgründe des Zauberns lernen.
Diese Erkenntnis - da sind wir uns sicher - wird die Welt erschüttern. Glaubten wir doch bisher, zwischen der magischen ...

Nach einem - für mich - enttäuschenden Teil fünf bin ich von The Half-Blood Prince einfach nur total begeistert. Bis zum Ende wird die Spannung aufrecht erhalten. Dazu lässt sich die englische Ausgabe noch gut lesen und ich bin doch mal echt gespannt, wie das mit Snape und Malfoy weitergeht. Auch war es von Rowling gut umgesetzt, die Geschichte nicht vorhersehbar werden zu lassen. Sehr gute Entwicklung der Autorin.
Mir bleibt nur noch: Her mit Teil 7!!!!

Ich persönlich mag die düstere Entwicklung, die die gesamte Harry Potter-Geschichte gemacht hat. War das auch nicht die Idee dahinter?
Klar, dass das erste Buch in der ersten Klasse noch mit den großen staunenden Kinderaugen geschrieben wurde, begleitet es doch vor allem Potter und seine Gedanken selbst.
Nun, kurz vor dem Schulabschluss, ist der Blick kritischer, die Welt nicht mehr so zauberhaft und rosarot. Auch die vielen Unglaublichkeiten Hogwarts sind für Potter nicht mehr so erstaunlich, warum sollte man sie also noch großartig erwähnen?
Allgegenwärtiger Rassismus (Nicht nur bei den Bösen), unethische Methoden im Ministerium, Empfehlungen zum Beäugen und Denunzieren von Bekannten und Verwandten erinnern an das 3. Reich. Wie im fünften Band bereits liefert auch Band 6 keine Schwarzweißzeichnerei mehr: Auch die "Guten" sind lange nicht so gut, wie sie tun.
Und auch die Methoden unseres Helden sind nicht immer ein glänzendes Vorbild unbeflecktem Gutmenschentums. ...

Die Rezessionen scheinen hier ja eher ziemlich unterschiedlich zu sein.
Ich für meinen Teil war von dem Buch enttäuscht.
Nachdem ich ein halbes Jahr darauf gewartet habe ihn von unsere Bücherei zu bekommen, hab ich mich im Urlaub mit feuereifer darauf gestürzt und eigentlich bis zum Ende auf den überspringenden Funken gewartet. Leider fehlte der Story das Fesselnde! Spannend wurde es zum Ende, hier ging alles ganz zügig, aber befriedigend war das Ende nicht. Eher erinnerte mich die Story an eine Aneinanderreihung von Klischees. Schade...
Dafür das dies das letzte Band sein sollte kam es mir eher mit dem offenden Ende so vor, dass noch weitere folgen könnten.
Ich bin ja mal gespannt.
Eine Meinung sollte sich jeder selber bilden, aber mit den ersten Büchern hatte dieses nicht mehr viel gemein.
