Die neue Serie mit Will Trent ("Fractured" ist der zweite Teil) ist sehr gelungen, da der Hauptdarsteller - gerade wegen seiner Schwächen - absolut sympatisch und menschlich herüber kommt.
Die Geschichte ist orginell, spannend und sprachlich gut erzählt. Es gibt in der Mitte einen leichten "Durchhänger", der jedoch verziehen werden kann, da ansonsten alles stimmig ist.
Man möchte den Thriller bis zur Auflösung gar nicht mehr aus der Hand legen - was kann man mehr von einem Kriminalroman erwarten ?
Fazit: Für die Feiertage unbedingt kaufen oder ausleihen - es lohnt sich wirklich !

Ein neuer wirklich guter Thriller von Karin Slaughter. Die Charaktere sind sehr einfühlsam und mitreissend beschrieben und wie immer bleibt die Aufklärung des Falles spannend bis zum Schluss mit einem gewissen "Extra".
Karin Slaughter gehört schon länger zu einer meiner Lieblingsautorinnen, weil ich noch kein einziges ihrer Bücher freiwillig weglegen konnte!! :-)

"Fractured" is the second book in Slaughter's Atlanta series evolving around the GBI Agent Will Trent.
Abigail happens upon an intruder when she gets home. He stands over what seems to be the corpse of her seventeen-year-old daughter Emma, has a knife in his hands and seems to be going after Abigail as well. Abigail kill the intruder in the ensuing struggle. The GBI is called in on behest of the dead girl's rich grandfather and his connections, Will Trent is the agent in charge and he is partnered with Atlanta PC detective Faith Mitchell. Mitchell resents him from the get-go because Will was the coffin nail to her mother's career. It turns out very quickly that the perpetrator may not have been the perp at all and that's when Will and Faith have to give their very best....
Every single one of Slaughter's characters in this second book of the Atlanta series is a troubled person: Will is mildly anti-social, trying to hide his childhood and dyslexia from everybody. ...
